Today (Wednesday, May 8th), McDonald’s Canada franchisees and crew nationwide are gearing up for a day dedicated to community giving in support of Ronald McDonald Houses and other local children’s charities. This year marks the 30th celebration of McHappy Day in Canada, and McDonald’s is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable one.
You Are invited to join in the festivities and make a difference in the lives of families with sick children. With every menu item sold throughout the day, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to RMHC, providing much-needed support to those in need.
But the impact doesn’t stop there. There are numerous ways for individuals to show their support and be a McHero in their own communities. Whether it’s stopping by a McDonald’s restaurant, hitting the drive-thru, or placing an order through the McDonald’s app, every purchase contributes to the cause.
For those unable to visit a restaurant in person, McDelivery offers a convenient option via Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, or DoorDash, with a special offer of $0 delivery fee on orders of $20 or more (plus tax).
And for those looking to wear their support, exclusive McDonald’s x Peace Collective merchandise featuring retro McDonaldland characters is available for a limited time. Proceeds from each purchase will support our RMHC right here in Saskatchewan!
But the giving doesn’t stop with merchandise. Customers can also donate $2, $5, or $10 at their local McDonald’s and receive a McHappy Day heart to display their support. Additionally, purchasing a pair of Peace Collective McHappy Day socks for $5 (plus tax) at participating restaurants or through the McDonald’s app is another way to contribute.
For those who prefer to donate their spare change, rounding up their total at the register for RMHC is a simple yet impactful gesture that can make a real difference in the lives of families in need.
For those with time to spare, volunteering at their local McDonald’s is another way to get involved and support the cause. Whether helping out behind the counter or organizing fundraising events, every contribution counts.
Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has been a cornerstone of community support, raising nearly $66 million for Ronald McDonald Houses and local Canadian children’s charities. With the continued generosity of McDonald’s Canada, its franchisees, and loyal guests, McHappy Day will continue to make a difference in the lives of families across the country for years to come.
So mark your calendars and join McDonald’s Canada on May 8th for McHappy Day. Together, let’s be McHeroes for families in need.
