It's hysterical to see him in this and know what he eventually becomes. ⁠ ⁠ 🎥 Second, it is crazy how big of an influence Valley Girl was to a lot of filmmakers who grew up in the 80s. Clueless, Mean Girls - heck, Kevin Smith of Clerks/Mallrats fame owes his entire career to swiping from Valley Girl. Even Stranger Things borrowed heavily from the film. ⁠ ⁠ Of course, it's no real surprise since it was directed by Martha Coolidge - who also helmed Real Genius, along with episodes of Sledgehammer, Psych, Sex and the City, and a plethora of other fantastic shows. ⁠ ⁠ 🔎 If you want the story of when I met Nic Cage a couple of years back, check out the birthday post I did for him a couple of weeks back.
