A one-day outdoor sportfest in Downtown Prince Albert offers kids aged 10-16 the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, and experience some of the sports Prince Albert offers. Coaches will be on hand to answer questions, and registration information will be available on Saturday. As for funding, Kidsport and other organizations that love to help get kids in a jersey will be on hand to tell you how involvement in sports doesn’t need to be limited.
Throughout the day, nearly every piece of sports equipment will be given away or raffled off to encourage sports in our city. All the way up to Hockey nets, goalie equipment, and stand-alone basketball nets, it’s all up for grabs. Besides equipment, one lucky individual will win travel, accommodation, and tickets to see the Saskatchewan Roughriders! Raffle and 50/50 ticket proceeds will go to a Prince Albert charity to help our community prosper.
