Yesterday, on October 6, 2024, the Prince Albert Raiders hosted their inaugural “Raiders Run” event, promoting active and healthy lifestyles within the community. Participants had the option to run or walk distances of 2KM, 5KM, or 10KM along the scenic Rotary Trail, starting and finishing at the Art Hauser Centre.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from both residents and members of the Raiders organization. Players and coaches not only took part in the run but also engaged with attendees, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. After the run, everyone gathered in the Ches Leach Lounge to enjoy healthy snacks and share in the day’s accomplishments.
Each participant received a black bunnyhug adorned with a green Raiders Run crest, along with a custom medal, serving as memorable keepsakes of the day’s achievements (PANOW).
The “Raiders Run” exemplifies the team’s commitment to community involvement and promoting wellness. By encouraging physical activity and facilitating personal connections, the event highlighted the positive impact of sports organizations extending their reach beyond the rink.
