The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ronald McDonald House project in Prince Albert aims to provide families with sick children a comforting place to stay during difficult times.
Victoria Hospital has a space where families of hospitalized children can find food, laundry services, and a place to get away, and it has served 3933 families since 2016. Once construction has started, the facility in Prince Albert will house 12 families and take about 20 months to build. The project has served 3,500 meals in the last two years and added 1,700 meals for the NICU. The official groundbreaking for the project took place on Wednesday, marking an exciting step forward.
