Think the Super Bowl is all about touchdowns, interceptions, and halftime performances? Think again! A recent poll might just toss a flag on that play. It turns out that a whopping 40% of American Super Bowl viewers are more jazzed about hosting or attending game-day shindigs than actually lounging on their sofas alone and soaking up the play-by-plays.
Shockingly, even though their TVs are as big as a linebacker, the average viewer only spends about 29 minutes actually watching those gridiron warriors do their thing. That’s shorter than most sitcoms! So perhaps this year, when you’re weighing your party invite options, consider the bean dip and banter might just trump the fourth down drama – who knew pigskins would be upstaged by pigs in a blanket?
