Today, we are finding out that the Grain Elevator from the show “Corner Gas” has burned to the ground. It’s not enough that a Prarie Icon such as the Grain Elevator that’s slowly disappearing from the Saskatchewan Landscape is being knocked/torn down but to find out one has burned can be a little unsettling. But one with an entertainment connection that brought us laughs about life in the prairies has burned to the ground.
Sad to hear abt the Rouleau grain elevator burning down early this a.m. It had the name Dog River for the town from Canadian show Corner Gas.

This was one of the first pics I took when we moved down the road to Wilcox 2 yrs ago.
Hope the firefighters/everyone close by are safe! pic.twitter.com/CezgjZHMKQ

Guy Lagrandeur with the Town of Rouleau says they also quietly demolished the Corner Gas police station building just last week.

Upon arriving at the site of the former grain elevator, he said this must be “the curse of Corner Gas”.
